The annual dog training and behaviour week is being run by Company of Animals, again this year. The focus for this year is Dog Pulling. 

 Dog PUlling must be the most common training and behaviour problem that people have with their dogs. Many dogs seem to have an inherited need to pull - why else is the problem more prevalent in Spaniels? 

The best way to deal with the lead pulling is to make sure your puppy never pulls on the lead in the first place. Start your training very early, and never let them learn that pulling gets them further faster.

 If your dog already pulls on the lead, then again, the first thing your need to to is to make up your mind what you're going to do to make sure that you stop the problem right now.  Then figure out your training program.
